I think that new media should be used more for educational purposes. My thoughts are mainly for younger children because their learning and studying methods are crucial at these points. Class work, notes, and homework should be put on a universal platform that the kids can get used to from the start. There are systems like this now but schools have not fully switched over to digital. I think that these online platforms to offer a collaborative environment for students to talk to each other and ask questions about assignments. Similar to the discussion boards on blackboard but mixed with virtual characters of the kids. If the platform is easy to use and navigate, then the kids would be more inclined to use it. They would also be able to directly ask teachers questions and even access videos of the class.
